Can HR really be an agent of change?
an interesting article on the problems in HR. Personally, I’ve never liked the term “business parter” – surely HR is part of the business, you don’t get an “operations partner” (do you?). The Tichy model is interesing and remarkably similar to models of human capital management (such as here – its a PDF document, see page 8). Also, good to see an emphasis on processes and evidence of impact – see here for an article on evidence based management in HR – another PDF). All in all, interesting stuff
